It’s important for me so that the name is not meaningless.
It should not possess the sound or shape only, but responsibility.
STIRNA is my personal reminder.
Not for audience – for myself. .
It’s all about speaking and keeping on being human even when it’s not easy or comfortable.
STIRNA is my alter ego project.
It’s not a mask to hide behind, but rather a condition, where I keep on being honest, whilst creating music.
It’s a condition with no meaningless words, with no empty impulses and no refusing own values, even if the price is way too high.
It’s a name that keeps me full-fledged not entertained.
It’s a name that reminds me that my freedom is not a chaos – it’s a discipline against myself.
STIRNA consists of six letters.
Each and every of them possesses a meaning, that I want to follow.
Not only to others, but on the first instance to yourself.
A person without an own promise no longer belongs to itself.
Think for yourself. Choose for yourself.
Don’t let noise, opinions, or pressure live in your head instead of your own thoughts.
The truth is not smooth.
The reality is living, breathing, and sometimes even uncomfortable.
Words are easy.
Choices are not. They are indicating who you actually are.
And that’s normal.
Respect begins where pretense ends.
Even when you might get cold.
Even when you might take the easy way out.
This is not a manifesto meant to be announced loudly.
It is an internal code, which I follow in my path through writing music, thinking and working with people around.
If someone asks – why STIRNA?
Because these six letters remind me of who I am when everything else becomes loud.
If you feel it – perhaps this word speaks to you too.
